Director
Oluwabusolami is the founder of Nyumbamani Safe House. A graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, and University of Ibadan, Nigeria. As a researcher, she studied obstacles to students’ optimal reading performance in public schools, using action research that not only provided a clear understanding of the problem but also implemented practical actions and solutions. She also co-studied young people’s aspirations and resilience in Africa. For her doctoral work, she is studying empowerment of rural women through the use of community radio. Busola is driven by an incredibly strong passion to create and sustain a space for women and youth to thrive and flourish in all aspects of life, to overcome their challenges, and to be empowered. Her singular motivation has been to see life get better for those at the margins and for young people.
Coordinator (Youth Engagement and Support)
Emmanuella Stevenson-Fuo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Nigeria. She has practical experience in youth leadership having served as committee leader, class coordinator and youth representative in many contexts. At Nyumbamani, Ella presents the voice, vision and vigour of young people, influencing programme decisions in favour of African teeming youth population.
Board Member
An experienced educator and life-skills coach, Temitayo specializes in positively impacting children, youth, and women. With a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, she has facilitated trainings for organizations like WIMBIZ and TYChronicles&You. Currently, she is a Customer Relationship and Retail Manager in a leading afro-centric fashion brand. Temitayo lives in Ibadan with her family.
Secretary
Mr Temitope Ajayi is a graduate of psychology at the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, presently working with National Orientation Agency, Oyo State directorate. There he is part of the development communication team supporting transformative public policies. He is also a marketing professional with a strong respect for ethics. A highly ambitious and performance-driven person, Temitope has immense experience in managing multiple projects, people and processes. At Nyumbamani, Temitope brings his deep experience of public policy and policy service to steering the ship of the organization as the Secretary of the Advisory Committee. This he combines with his passion to inspire and support the next generation of leaders in Africa, that is, the young people.
Board Member
Dr B. R Ojebuyi is a lecturer in the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. An experienced researcher, Dr Ojebuyi focuses his intellectual activities, especially research, on supporting and emancipating young and disadvantaged people, and shifting public policy in their favour in favour. His research has seen him study African youth aspirations and resilience, community-based crime prevention, media framing of conflicts, among others. He has years of working with young people as a university hall warden, counsellor and mentor. Dr Ojebuyi supports Nyumbamani with strategic thinking and sound research.
